Your personal guide to feeling great — from the outside in and the inside out

A note from Gemma

Hello, and welcome to the Pureluxeleaf family.

I'm Gemma, the founder of Pureluxeleaf, and I made this guide for you — the person who signed up because something resonated. Maybe it was the handmade story, maybe it was the ingredients, or maybe you're simply at a point where you want to feel good again and you're done settling for products that don't share your values.

I started Pureluxeleaf from my home in Dorset, because I couldn't find what I was looking for in one place: beauty products I could trust on my skin, clothing I could feel proud of wearing, and supplements that actually cared about my health. I believed — and I still believe — that looking after yourself shouldn't require a compromise. Not on ethics, not on quality, not on how something makes you feel.

This guide is my way of sharing what I've learned. It isn't a prescription or a medical plan. It's a warm, practical collection of things that genuinely make a difference to how I feel, and how so many of our customers feel, day to day. Skin wellness, self-care rituals, nourishment from within — all woven together into something you can actually use.

You deserve to feel wonderful. Let's start there.

With warmth,

Gemma

Founder, Pureluxeleaf

Part One: Skin Wellness — What Goes On Your Skin Matters

Your skin is your body's largest organ, and it absorbs far more than we often realise. That's why the ingredients in your skincare aren't just a nice-to-know — they shape how your skin looks, how it feels, and how comfortable you are in it every single day.

Why organic, plant-based ingredients make a difference

Plant-based skincare works with your skin rather than against it. Organic ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, which means fewer hidden extras making their way onto — and into — your skin. For anyone with sensitive, reactive, or troubled skin, this matters enormously.

Here are some of the ingredient families you'll find woven through Pureluxeleaf products, and why they're worth caring about:

Nourishing plant oils and butters Ingredients like shea, mango, and plant-derived lip oils mimic the natural lipids your skin already produces. They soften and smooth without clogging pores, making them ideal for dry, chapped, or sensitive skin. Unlike mineral oil or petroleum-based ingredients, they feed the skin barrier rather than just coating it.

Botanical extracts Plants have their own defence systems — antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and soothing agents that have evolved over millions of years. When carefully extracted, these compounds can calm redness, reduce irritation, and bring comfort to skin that's struggling.

Vegan formulations Choosing vegan skincare means no animal-derived ingredients — no lanolin, no beeswax, no collagen from animal sources. It also means choosing products made with a commitment to doing less harm.

The difference a daily ritual makes

You don't need a ten-step routine. What your skin really responds to is consistency. A simple daily ritual — morning and evening — with products you trust, does more for your skin than expensive treatments used sporadically.

Think about it this way: your skin renews itself on roughly a 28-day cycle. When you give it consistent, gentle nourishment over that time, you start to see real change — less tightness, smoother texture, a more even tone.

A basic ritual might look like this:

  • Morning: cleanse gently, apply a lip butter or lip oil to protect lips from the day ahead, moisturise

  • Evening: cleanse, apply anything richer or more nourishing, let your skin rest and recover overnight

The products you choose for that ritual don't need to be complicated. They need to be kind.

Part Two: Mental Wellness Through Self-Care

There's a reason we feel better after a long bath, a slow morning, or taking ten minutes just for ourselves. Self-care isn't indulgence — it's maintenance. And for many of us, particularly those juggling family, work, and everything in between, it's the first thing dropped when life gets busy.

Why rituals work

A ritual is different from a routine. A routine is automatic. A ritual is intentional — a moment you choose to show up for yourself. That intention is where the wellbeing benefit lives.

When you take five or ten minutes each day to do something just for you — to apply a product you love, to breathe, to be present in your own body — you're sending yourself a quiet but powerful message: I matter. I'm worth caring for.

That message accumulates. Over days and weeks, it builds confidence. It softens stress. It creates a small anchor of calm in a busy day.

How Pureluxeleaf products fit into a self-care ritual

Our products are made to be a pleasure to use — not just effective, but sensory. The texture of a lip butter, the way a shaving gel feels against the skin, the moment of warmth from a bath bomb — these small sensory experiences engage the nervous system and help signal to your body that it's time to slow down.

A few simple ways to build a self-care ritual:

  • Keep your lip oil or lip butter somewhere you'll see it every morning — your bedside table, your bathroom shelf. Use it as an anchor for a brief morning moment before the day begins.

  • Make your evening skincare a wind-down practice rather than a task to tick off. Slow down, breathe, be present.

  • If you love a bath, treat it as sacred time. A Dorset Bath Bomb isn't just a product — it's an invitation to pause.

Mood, confidence, and the beauty connection

Looking after your appearance isn't vanity — it's a form of self-respect. When you take care of your skin and feel good in it, your confidence follows. Research consistently shows that engaging in grooming and self-care rituals positively affects mood and self-perception. You're not chasing a standard of beauty. You're tending to yourself.

Part Three: Vegan Supplements and Inner Health

True wellness doesn't stop at the skin. What you put into your body shapes everything — your energy levels, your skin's appearance, your mood, your immune resilience. Beauty truly does start from within.

Why inner nourishment and outer beauty are connected

Your skin reflects what's happening inside your body. When your gut is well-nourished, when your cells are getting the nutrients they need, your skin tends to show it — clearer, more even, more resilient. Conversely, nutritional gaps often show up on the skin first: dullness, dryness, sensitivity.

What vegan supplements support

A thoughtfully chosen supplement routine can help to fill nutritional gaps and support the kind of wellbeing that shows — both inside and out:

  • Vitamin B12 — essential for energy and nervous system health, and one that plant-based diets benefit from supplementing

  • Vitamin D — especially important for those of us in the UK, where sunlight is limited for much of the year; supports mood, immunity, and bone health

  • Omega-3 fatty acids — from algae-based sources rather than fish, these support skin moisture, brain health, and heart health

  • Iron — important for energy and vitality, particularly for women

  • Zinc — supports skin clarity and immune function

The inside-out approach to beauty

When your inner health is supported, your outer care goes further. Nourished skin responds better to skincare. A rested, well-nourished body has more natural radiance. Combining thoughtful supplementation with kind, plant-based skincare is the inside-out approach to beauty that genuinely works — not as a quick fix, but as a sustainable way of feeling well.

Part Four: Your 7-Day Gentle Wellness Plan

This plan is for anyone who isn't feeling their best — perhaps skin that's dull or reactive, energy that's low, or mood that needs a lift. It's gentle and entirely manageable alongside a busy life. Think of it not as a strict programme but as a week of choosing yourself, one small act at a time.

Day 1: Reset and begin

Morning

Start with a glass of water before anything else. Skin and energy both benefit from hydration before caffeine. Take two minutes to apply your lip butter or lip oil — slowly, intentionally. This is the beginning of your ritual.

Evening

Draw a bath if you can. Use a Dorset Bath Bomb and stay in for at least fifteen minutes. No phone, no tasks. Just warmth and quiet. Before bed, take your vegan supplements if you have them. Make a note of how you feel tonight — tired, stressed, okay — so you can compare at the end of the week.

Day 2: Skin focus

Morning

Cleanse your face gently with warm (not hot) water. Pat dry — never rub. Apply your favourite Pureluxeleaf moisturiser or product, taking a moment to massage it in. Drink at least six glasses of water today. Skin hydration is directly connected to water intake.

Evening

Before bed, apply a lip butter generously. Lips lose moisture overnight, and waking up to soft, nourished lips is a small thing that genuinely brightens a morning.

Day 3: Inner nourishment day

Morning

Pay attention to what you eat today through the lens of nourishment. Add one extra handful of dark leafy greens — spinach, kale, rocket — to a meal. These are rich in the vitamins and minerals that show on your skin. Take your supplements with breakfast so they become part of the morning anchor.

Evening

Make something warming and nourishing for dinner. Soups, stews, and curries with a good variety of vegetables are your skin and mood's best friends.

Day 4: Midweek reset

By day four, some people feel a dip in energy or motivation. This is normal. Today is not about doing more — it's about doing things with a little more intention.

Morning

Take your morning skincare moment and make it a full five minutes. Slow down each step. Finish by looking in the mirror and acknowledging one thing you like about how you look today. It sounds small. It isn't.

Evening

No screens for the last thirty minutes before bed if you can manage it. Instead, apply your lip butter, have a warm drink, and allow yourself to wind down.

Day 5: Movement and mood

Morning

Move your body — even fifteen minutes of walking outside does something measurable for mood. Fresh air and gentle movement support your stress response, your skin's circulation, and your energy through the day.

Evening

Tonight, use your Pureluxeleaf shaving gel or another product from your collection as part of a longer self-care routine. Let it be a treat, not a task.

Day 6: Connection

Wellness isn't solitary. Today, share something — a recommendation, a product you love, a kind word with someone in your life.

Morning

Make your skincare ritual visible. Leave your products out where you can see them as a reminder that this week is one where you're choosing yourself.

Evening

Run a warm bath or simply take ten minutes to sit quietly with nothing to do. Notice how different this feels to day one.

Day 7: Reflect and continue

You've given yourself a week of gentle, intentional care. That matters.

Morning

Revisit your note from day one. How do you feel compared to then? Most people notice something — skin that feels a little better, slightly more energy, a mood that's lifted a little. This is what consistency does. One week is a beginning, not a finish line.

Evening

Choose one or two habits from this week that you want to carry forward. They don't need to be elaborate. A lip butter every morning. A bath twice a week. Supplements with breakfast. Small anchors of self-care, kept.

Closing: A gentle invitation
